The words came to me last night while trying to sleep.
There was a second verse. Something about dining philosophers having their forks stolen and taking a RAFT to Paxos, but at that point my wife asked me to please shut up and go to sleep.
The cultural significance of the loss of the second verse is difficult to estimate.
