Really disappointed that RussInCheshire has decided to paywall #theWeekInTory behind a Threads login.

It was always a good read, but I'm not bending over to Zuck just for that. There are so many other free, openly accessible platforms that don't eat your private data for lunch 😒

Me too. I'm struggling to think of a single online problem, to which joining Meta is the answer. Yes, the fediverse isn't currently as intuitive a place to navigate as the corporate sites but the only way to bring that change is to drive that change, by shunning Musk, Zuck and the likes and making federated social media the new norm.

I do get that Mr Jones has no desire to duplicate his tomes of Tory tragedy over multiple platforms. I also get that we are in a state of fragmentation as we all search for a post-birdsite home. But surely the answer to fragmentation is to make #TheWeekInTory a blog, then post links across multiple platforms. Write once, link many should attract the widest audience.
