In December 2017, I underwent a personal challenge, to draw 31 #Pokemon gijinkas in 31 days, starting with my favorite normal-type: #Snorlax!
Day 3: Favorite fighting-type

Day 8: Favorite electric-type (2017)
I went for sort of an idol look with #Raichu. She's in a group with Wigglytuff (coming later in this thread) and Clefable (who I STILL haven't drawn)!
Day 10: Favorite psychic-type (2017)
#Alakazam, the eternal rival of Gengar (coming later in the thread).
Day 13: Favorite bug-type (2017)
The more time that passes, the less I like how #Butterfree came out. But hey, gotta repost the whole challenge, I can't skip an entry just because I don't like it.
I'd like to really draw her again someday though and... not screw up her face.
Day 14: Favorite dragon-type (2017)
#Hydreigon, on the other hand, I would not change a thing about. Even now, I still love everything about the way I drew her.
Day 15: Favorite ghost-type (2017)
One of my most popular gijinkas. I actually ran a popularity poll on Twitter a few years back, and #Chandelure was the runner-up! So you'll be seeing a bit more of her down the line.
Day 16: Favorite dark-type (2017)
#Pangoro acts like a real badass, but is actually a big softie and also has a not-so-secret crush on Sylveon (coming later in the thread).
Day 17: Favorite steel-type (2017)
#Genesect is another one I think I'd give a do-over. Not because I dislike how the art itself came out, but because she just... looks TOO much like Genesect. The only real design difference is her proportions and the bottom half of her face.
Day 19: Generation 1 (2017)
I feel like I made #Raticate look too much like a fighting-type when I was really just trying to make her look like a thief 😭
Day 23: Generation 5 (2017)
I decided to go with a gunslinger look for #Krookodile, because AMURICKA and also Krookodile's leg markings remind me of chaps.
Day 26: Not Fully Evolved (2017)
Day 28: Favorite Starter (2017)
Scarlet and Violet weren't a thing yet when I did this challenge, so I obviously didn't go with Skeledirge, but #Incineroar is still pretty great!
Day 30: Favorite mascot (2017)
Some time later, I realized that despite being a female #Venusaur, her flower doesn't have a seed on it, meaning I accidentally a trans Venusaur!
