Each joined Threads yesterday and have all amassed tens to 100's of thousands of followers.

My view: if #Threads federates as they claim, now #NAACP is half way here. And we can encourage accounts to make the jump soon and not loose the hundreds of thousands of followers they gain while on Threads.

Facebook, which is what Threads is, is currently being sued for HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS in international courts. Does that... you know... cause anyone to stop and think? And this is the tip of the iceberg with this company and with their technology.

This isnt a serious conversation, right? Even if neoliberal orgs sign on, that doesnt make the human rights violations any less egregious nor does it compel any of the millions of people who SPECIFICALLY LEFT THOSE NETWORKS any more likely to rejoin them. Right?

Not just joined #threads but are actively promoting it, like "I just joined threads, you should all join so you can follow me!"
THREADS IS OWNED BY FACEBOOK, and we've established for years now how Facebook is a major branch in the root structure of social media's facilitation of fascism. Have all these large allegedly leftist accounts forgotten that overnight?? (or were they paid to forget?)
