The movie ‘Titanic’ is a wonder of visual trickery, beyond the sinking ship being a 3-metre-long model.
Even the life-size sets were illusions. Cameron’s budget only stretched to half the interior sets, so they just made starboard rooms & flipped the footage to make portside scenes.
They crafted mirrored violins etc for those scenes so they looked ‘normal’ when flipped. But not the humans. So characters often seem to switch mid-movie to being lefthanded.
