Hello everyone! First off i'm new to Mastodon so thats fun.
I got into Ham radio a few years back but over the last year or so ive really poured time and effort into it. currently 100% portable i enjoy running qrp as well as building my own antennas. ive been doing alot of work on digital modes with PC, MAC, and mostly #Linux

@km4vks POTA and portable is the most fun I’ve had with ham radio in the 20 something years I’ve been into it.

What digital modes do you use most?

@wardrup ft8 for sure. Working on getting pat windlink working on my Linux shack-n-a-box (it has Linux on it now that was a trial run OS lol)

@km4vks if you can’t get pat working, you can get the windows program to run well in WINE. I’ve done it and it works perfectly. Depends on if you want fully FOSS or not.

@wardrup yeah I've heard mixed comments about wine and windlink but it's worth a try either way 😊

@wardrup didn't see this till after I took my station down. Was trying to get it working with my Linux desktop too. Only had luck with the raspberry pi will try to send you and email this week.
