Swiss startup Sun-Ways is installing solar panels on railway tracks in Switzerland.

the entire panel-laying process has been automated by Sun-Ways, whereby a specially-built train is 'unrolling' the panels on the tracks rather than human workers doing it manually.

@gtbarry that seems sub-optimal in a whole lot of ways. Places to put panels and ways to erect them properly aren't really a problem. Are we really in such a rush to get panels out that we'll just throw 'em flat on the ground where they make a fraction of what they could and potentially interfere with other infrastructure?
