The route from Union Square, Allston to Central Sq, Cambridge could be infinity times nicer. Yes, there is a protected bike lane on Cambridge St. but it has a super sketchy crossing over the Mass Pike on ramp where cars are accelerating to highway speeds, and then it dumps you out into 5 lanes of merge hell over the river. I mean.. someone tried but it's still terrifying. And bleak. No trees. Next we need to talk about River St. into Central! Yikes!
