#musicians , when not using #IEM on a loud setup, what is your ear protection of choice ? I've been using earpeace plugs for a few years but they'll need replacement soon, there are many prices and claims from different brand but what are you experiences and recommended brand/models ?
I also use them when I feel hypersensible in noisy environments to better understand conversations.

@antares I’ve used the Etymotic Research ER20s for years. They do a great job, but if you need the larger size like I do, they can be a little hard to find at times.

@antares I use the low end passive Etymotic earplugs, replacing them every 6 months or so. ~20dB of relatively flat protection, they sound very good at concerts, but I do have to pull one for conversations unless the person trying to talk to me is basically shouting at my head…

I have a set or two of ear plugs I keep in my bag. But my band right now uses IEMs and……I can't ever see not using IEMs after using them…….
