Mentoring someone in a chat and figured I'd drop this bit of evergreen wisdom here too:
I'd take a look at learning networking at a level where you actually understand *at a protocol level* *all the way up and down the stack* what happens when you submit a Google search. That foundational knowledge will make so much you have to do/learn easier.
