Three #Mastodon / #Fediverse tools that I discovered recently and that are quite powerful:

- #Fediview https://fediview.com/ – A configurable algorithmic timeline for your feed.
- #Followgraph https://followgraph.vercel.app/ – Suggests accounts to follow based on who your contacts follow.
- #Phanpy https://phanpy.social/ – An alternative web UI for Mastodon. Hugely improves the overall experience for me.

@felwert Have you tried elk.zone (my favorite desktop client) and sengi (similar to Tweetdeck)?
@luca I have tried Elk, and while I found it a slight improvement over vanilla Mastodon (with its own quirks), Phanpy is a much better experience for me personally. Haven't tried sengi yet.
@felwert @luca Thanks for listing these alternatives, and I had to use the opportunity to thest the integrated quote tweet feature of Elk. #MastodonMigration

@felwert THIS is exactly how it should be!!

The algorithm should be a choice, an opt-in, and not something that is shoved down our throats to ensure maximum utility for advertising.

Bookmarked these, thanks!

Maybe, the existing apps can find a way to 'include' them as 'plugins' that can be installed separately and toggled on/off or something? What say @apps? @Tusky? @ivory? Is this a feasible idea?
