Adam YatesOk, so the site I wanted to visit ended up to be behind a gated private community, with big warning signs and surveillance cameras. So I nosed along the river and found a nearby road that cuts down through the rocks. #murrayriver #fossils🧵
And here it is. Sands that were laid down in the Pliocene as the sea retreated from the Murray Valley. Sadly I could not find any fossils here. #pliocene #fossils #fieldgeology Oh well, many miles to go I must press on.
