Christ alive, I'm looking at menstruation trackers on behalf of a charity for a study, and *so* many of these apps are just handing data over to ad platforms!

And then there's the whole subscription service on top!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely tracking periods shouldn't need an internet connection, let alone ad networks and a subscription??

Genuinely asking - I've got the curse of being a man, so I'm out of my element here...

@Chloeormerod I would probably say Clue if you don't have iOS, but if you do have iOS you have the health app, and inside it there is Cycle Tracking which tracks mensturation (free of charge and is quite literally the most private option possible!)

@Chloeormerod It's such a shame that Apple doesn't advertise it more since i think less folks who mensturate wouldn't feel the need to sign up to subscription fees and risk getting weird ads across Facebook/Youtube/the internet etc. The data tracking and charging folks for what is just saving data on the phone is a case of extreme yikes, imho.
