RhyothemisWhere I am, there pollinators are a lot more active early in the morning than later in the day.
@Rhyothemis that could be the case here too. I usually water in the evening. In past years the beebalm gets busy with bees in the evening but so far not that I have seen.
Well, I hope they are out there in the morning where you are. I was concerned a few weeks ago since I hadn't seen as many, but then got out earlier to water b/c of the heat and was relieved to see them - many small wasps and flies. Perhaps not as many bees as last year. In addition to heat in summer we also got a some hard freezes last winter. I'm supposed to be watering right now - better go.
@Rhyothemis I wonder if the smoke haze hurt them here? Also possibly the drought? I hope the precious little creatures pull through, they face so many challenges ๐ฟ . I will try going out early morning to see if I can spy anyone buzzing about.
