I love this article so much. Throughout all my childhood, the sport of #tennis was completely intermingled with these two amazing women. Yeah, sure, mom used to tease me about my "Jimmy #Connors haircut" but it was #Evert and especially #Navratilova who held my attention. The epic battles between the two were far more fun to watch than the tantrums of John McEnroe - only Bjorn Borg could approach the two women in terms of coolness.

I should point out that I am very painfully aware of the TERFy bullshit Navratilova has been spewing over on birdsite the last couple years and have challenged her on that, repeatedly. (can't link for obvious reasons)

This doesn't change her incredible and groundbreaking history, nor does it change what we all saw if we watched her when we were kids. It means that she's terribly wrong about one thing.
