I know the Matrix franchise is a metaphor for coming out as trans, but lately I realize that it also feels like a good metaphor for life before and after #LateDx of #Autism

…the knowing your whole life something was missing, but not knowing what, the aha moment after finally realizing

BTW, I'm cis. Not trying to hijack or anything. Just a personal revelation/connection with the movies.

@JeremyMallin I follow a lot of trans people and it seems to me that our experiences are often of a kind.

Including society desperately trying to force us to be a way we are not, which causes extensive harm.

When society could just accept us as we are, with all the joy that entails.

@JeremyMallin It may be broader in meaning - the movie, I mean.
It is, in my opinion, a metaphor for us becoming who we truly are, whether it's someone coming out as Trans, or Gay, or simply standing up and saying, "This is who I am. The world can go fuck itself if it doesn't like it."
