V171Never in my life have I paid for dating apps, and I generally just like swipe away those screens as soon as they pop up. But I was just blindsided by the fact that Grindr costs 13 dollars A WEEK??? Are you fucking kidding me?? And the "cheapest" option is 72 bucks a year??? Complete insanity. The mobile app market has really gone to shit since they stopped selling apps for a flat price to opt for insane subscription fees.
Neon@V171 $72 a year doesn’t seem too bad to me? I don’t mind paying for things I get value from. It would be better though if we had assurance that paying means they don’t need to do invasive tracking and stuff, which we definitely don’t.
@NeonBanjo Well certainly, anyone who sees the value in a product that they use and have the means to pay for should do so guilt free. I just don't understand how something like grindr is at all worth 72 dollars a year. For what grindr is and what it provides as an app, I personally don't think it's worth that much. I think I pay 60 bucks a year for xbox live? As a service, that's vastly more complicated than what something like grindr provides.

Definitely, I prefer #scruffapp ! This app is much better ! The interface is modern and neat… and I think that guys are more open for chat and friendship than on Grindr ….
