IT folks be like πŸ‘‡πŸ˜‚
@nixCraft No way. I went on vacation and dropped my work like a sack of potatoes.
@nixCraft I feel attacked rn πŸ₯²
@GuitarKat @nixCraft Right? πŸ˜„ The proverbial β€œjust @ me next time.” 🫠
@nixCraft Right between the eyes with that one.
@nixCraft this is not accurate, at all. The reason I worked in IT was so I could afford to be away from IT
@nixCraft Depends on the coworkers.
If they are dependable and can sort everything out, great. I can relax.
But if I even have the slightest inkling of doubt that they can pull it off... I keep thinking about what will be on my table to sort out when I get back.

@Bright5park @nixCraft

This! I was 50 yrs old before I finally landed on a tremendous team with people who had both the ability and willingness to step for each other. What a difference it makes!

@Bright5park same, 100%. My team keeps changing every 6-12 months, so I vacillate between being carefree when I'm on vacation to checking my email every hour or two when I'm on vacation because if I don't monitor what's going on, it'll be a dumpster fire when I get back.
That's why I nap during work hours.
@nixCraft
@nixCraft I need to learn how to holiday better.

@nixCraft I wrote some nice pieces of software at nights on a seaside. Day at the beach, relaxing and recovering, and being very productive from 10pm to 2am.

Hoping to repeat that this season.

@nixCraft I feel this in my bones.
@nixCraft IT folks be like no vacation at all :V
@nixCraft This is intensely relatable.
@nixCraft literally me right now. On vacation enjoying nature and keep thinking about work.
@nixCraft I am profoundly hurt that you would call the truth to attention so brazenly and accurately.
@nixCraft only for the first 2-4 days of vacation, then I wake up relaxed and can actually enjoy being disconnected. Why my minimum is 2 weeks for a proper disconnect.
@nixCraft
He's liking vacation so much he turned his back on the ocean. πŸ˜†
@nixCraft My life in two pictures.
@nixCraft Missing the boss calling about an emergency while you're at the beach to make this even more accurate.
@nixCraft Close. Most of us don't look that good with our shirt off. Personally, in such a picture, all you'd see is lens flare as the light reflected back at you.
