So, I wanted to share my other amazing Pride experience this weekend. On Friday I attended a Pride Shabbat service at West London Synagogue. They have two gay Rabbis (a man and a woman), and invited many queer clergy from other faiths. The speaker was my very old friend Fr Andrew Foreshew-Cain, no longer employable in the Church of England for the grievous sin of marrying his husband. And I got to meet Rev Jide, who does so much for queer Black people of faith, in person for first time. #Pride
And afterwards there was a fabulous meal where I got to hang out with two old friends who got married in that Synagogue on the first day that people in a civil partnership could legally marry.
It was the most moving and joyous evening.
(I am of Anglican tradition but no longer practising, btw).
