@skyfaller I've lived in eastern PA all my life. All of my mom's relatives are down near Philly and she grew up there but I have never once heard anyone say "jawn". It's like it suddenly appeared a few years ago.

I assume that it took hold in some subcultures and not others, and it recently breached containment, but I have no data on jawn-using populations to back up that assertion.
