30 years ago I got to experience one helluva weekend in Telluride. Though I missed seeing a bunch of kids called Nickel Creek because their set times in the Family Tent conflicted with sets by Tony Rice and Jerry Douglas, respectively. #PlanetBluegrass #TellurideBluegrass #NickelCreek

@adamopp that was a real golden era for bluegrass festivals, Merlefest lineups from around then look a lot like that... Easy to see how so many of us got seriously into it

@mrcompletely So many performers no longer with us. Later the same summer I went to Rockygrass, Doc Watson, Peter Rowan, etc. Note Left Hand String Band on the bill: acoustic Leftover Salmon.
