NewkDo you still use a 3rd party mail gateway / filter in front of your #M365 environment?
I feel like it could actually be of more harm then good but would like to hear your opinion on this.
Tony@Newk My organization doesn't anymore. We switched to relying on "Microsoft Defender for Office 365", aka Exchange Online ATP, wen it came time to refresh our Barracuda ESG boxes. Cloud ESG was just as expensive as ATP and keeping hardware filters created a single failure point for mail flow. Based on conversations I've had, it's still very common for an organization to use a 3rd party filter in front of EXO.
nobody@Newk we do use 3rd party mail gateway in front of Exchange Online. there are bunch of features that were missing in EXO when we made that decision and EXO is now pretty close to feature parity. so we might revisit that decision in future.
I am curious about "more harm than good" comment in your post though....
