This is the first time I’ve been to Kelowna since my dad passed so it feels like it just happened. I haven’t cried this much over him in a long time. Asked Mom to take me to where his ashes are.

My dad’s ashes were scattered at Gellatly Heritage Regional Park in West Kelowna. It’s a lovely location. There was a deer there when we arrived. There are paths winding through the park with memorial plaques throughout.

I’ve been crying on the plane and train. Now waiting for the SeaBus. While at my mom’s place, I took photos of a bunch of childhood photos and sent some to friends. One of my friends (we met when my family moved in 2 doors down from her family when she was 3 and I was 4) responded with the sweetest text:

Aw!!! Those are awesome! Thank you for sending them to me! Look how awesome we were! You are still the best thing that happened to me in my life!!

Now on the bus home from the SeaBus. What an exhausting trip. I needed to do it but it took a lot out of me. Once I get home, I have to go out to get groceries. I didn’t want to order grocery delivery in case my flight was delayed and it did end up being delayed.
