@mattround A counterpart article "What will manual workers look like by 2100" that includes pictures of three people:
1) A 90 year old person with an exoskeleton
2) A young, healthy adult person killed by an accident caused by lax building/workspace regulations
3) Amazon warehouse worker
@mattround @Lazarou @cstross It's also more than a bit shitty to the millions of people who were doing #RemoteWork for decades before Covid, and those people were indeed usually #women and are often #disabled
Managers of remote working teams (the good ones anyway!) are very aware of the well-being of their staff, far more aware than random Covid WFH managers anyway, so this supposed #research is, to use a #technical #psychological term, complete bollocks.
@Abandofan @mattround @drahardja Seems about right for the #DailyMail. Their website includes the wildly popular Femail section.
These office worker articles appear in the main site but I can imagine they’re targeted at women through the Femail pages and related content suggestions etc.
Looks like I'm suing DailyMail for publishing my picture without my consent.
What do they call lawyers in the U.K.? Barristers?
I think I saw this woman working the checkout line at Walmart recently...
@mattround Already got my home office furniture.
Spookily, not had backache from horrible train coachwork designed for pygmies from the 70s since pandemic remote working started.
Hey bossman, you going to get me one of these for the office? No?
They hate that some workers have a little more freedom, even if it means increased productivity.
