“I don’t know if you know it, but simply looking at a pride flag will not make you gay,” Rep. Mark Pocan told his fellow committee members. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/republicans-vote-against-abortions-pride-flag-veterans-facilities-1234770846/

@RollingStone I looked at two of them today, in fact, proudly flying at the Charles George VA Medical Center, and was thrilled beyond belief to see them. Still not gay, though.
@caragraph @RollingStone Came out in 1975, before there even was a flag. Still gay though.
@RollingStone I’m not gay, but I enjoy seeing people happy and being unashamed to live their real lives. Makes the world a better place.

@quincypeck @RollingStone
That kind of positive attitude is responsible for so much conservative hardship.

Totally irresponsible. 😤 😅

@RollingStone It seems unfair that a rule against lifesaving abortions is applied only to women. When future lifesaving abortions are denied, the government should track down the father. If the mother subsequently dies, the father must be executed. If the mother subsequently suffers infertility, so should the father. If the mother’s subsequent ill health reduces her earnings and life enjoyment a court will need to levy a matching suffering on the father. Am I missing anything?

@RollingStone

Some of those restrictions sure sound like violations of 1st Amendment rights.

@RollingStone This is the Republican pitch line for elections. This. Not improving anybody’s lives in any way, just shitty attacks on the concepts of equality and representation

What kind of vision is that?

@RollingStone Thank goodness, I’d hate for veterans to receive an speck of medical care
@RollingStone
This from the "Support Your Troops"party.
Such hypocrites!
@RollingStone And yet a good number of LBGTQA folks are still Republicans...Looking at you Log Cabin Repukes.....
@RollingStone It's considerate of the House Republicans to show us what they’re really all about. That said, their antediluvian policies won’t pass the Senate, and would be vetoed in any case.
@RollingStone Haters have zero compassion. As you can see.

@RollingStone

Pretty sure some of the vets will have something to say about that.

Also pretty sure that an old vet being hauled up for breaking that particular law will have the judge laughing as he tells the complainant to stop wasting the court's time .
