@AnOldGuy GOP House Speaker McCarthy is warning of (subtext: calling for) protests & violence; & I forget which “GOP-erative” claims that it was President Biden that indicted Trump (Biden has no more legal facility to indict anyone than you or I do).
But mostly they seem to be quieter than usual.
@skua @AnOldGuy I agree, but there’s this weird calculus we’ve seen them go through a couple times already: they want to “jump” soon enough to maximize their power & profits; but they can’t afford to alienate Trump’s stick-like-glue adherents until the big orange garbage scow is finally sinking for the last time.
