My latest FreeBSD Journal column, for the issue printed for BSDCan and not yet online, included several references to toenail fungus. Because why wouldn't it? Sysadmin and fungus go together like chocolate and durian.

I use Facebook for family communication, because (sigh) family. The desktop is adblocked, but the browser on the phone isn't, so I see ads there.

I'm now getting ads about toenail fungus treatments on FB on the phone.

It might be that I'm late 50s and thus am vulnerable to a variety of parasitic and fungal infections. But the timing is super suspicious.
