I have seen absolutely nothing to contradict the axiom that 1/3 of my neighbours will like the use of force on those they see as lesser people to them, 1/3 will oppose it and 1/3 will smile and go along with whomever has the momentum.

I've watched as the mere act of electing one party raises the local mortality rate in every place it happens and that is judged as not anything to be concerned about; it was just the weak, they die all the time and we call this normal.

Death has all the momentum.

I have seen a homeless person's tent in a downtown park - it's been there a while now - with a green oxygen cylinder outside it.

It's guarded by the cardboard Halloween decoration skeleton of a small dog.

That little dog skeleton is doing more to protect that person than not one, not two, but three separately publicly funded levels of government, each drawing princely sums and benefits and pensions for themselves.

This has become the new normal.

The tents have the momentum.
Majority support.

We are headed to a dark place. We're getting little tastes of it now.

I was at a gathering of sixty people partying in choking burning asphalt smells like Satan's Saturday Night Party Pit, and every one of them, every last single one of them, acted like this was the most normal of normalness.

Do I think folks will go along with absolutely anything at all?

Yes.

We are dying of petroleum and coal yet even now the closest smoke's stopped, 'normal' smells more like burning oil and coal.

And that's because it is.

Cars are 63% heavier. Most drive solo. I've watched my own little street become a car artery, rush hour air quality get worse.

We're pumping the gas pedal. We want to floor it.

Death has the momentum and the majority of us are helping it each day.

Before last week I didn't know what 200 homes burning smelled like.

Now I know with certainty I'll smell this again. We not going to stop anything until our society drives itself off a cliff.

It could brake. It won't.
