At my #cargoBike event yesterday there was a woman with an Xtracycle that had 12k miles! Said she had it for 4 years and does about 20 miles per day of commuting/kid drop offs/pick ups. And I thought I was a “heavy user”!!
dr2chase@mpusto I started in late 2006 with an XtraCycle, 2500 miles/year, upgraded to a Big Dummy in 2009, upped mileage to 3000 miles/year in 2015, added an EdgeRunner in 2018.
The accumulated mileage appears to be (about) 44,000, almost all of it on longtail cargo bikes. But this was mostly a matter of being a very early adopter.
Till 2015, that was two 22-mile days per week, plus errands, after 2015, five 12+ mile days each week, plus errands.
