In one industry, demo means demolition – but in another, demo means demonstration. Are there other examples like this? Does this situation have a name?
@mwichary
I’m looking at “mod” being used confusingly for modification and module on the discord for the #NayaCreate keyboard right now
@AccordionBruce and also modulo in computing/programming circles.
@hugo ...oh and "moderator" in online communities!
@hugo
Lots of context needed to sort the meaning out behind the other #MechanicalKeyboard jargon, much less the three or four possible uses of “mod” 😵‍💫
@AccordionBruce @hugo Oh, that’s a good one.

@mwichary @hugo
In that post they’re talking about “modules” that can be exchanged on the successfully crowdfunded 🏆 #NayaCreate keyboard
(27 days and 9 months before we get to try them out in real life)
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/naya-create/naya-create

But it confused me because we’d been taking about a keyboard mod (modification, like on every other #MechanicalKeyboard forum, a few posts before, with a forum moderator)
