Brian O'Meara@marcrr So far it's similar in number of posts, but not in number of people posting, as twitter. One nice thing is that Mastodon allows linking to a page with a hashtag (i.e., https://ecoevo.social/tags/Evol2023) which works for people even not logged in, but I don't think twitter allows that anymore.
@omearabrian Yes I have a good experience live posting #biocuration2023 and a good experience following hashtags, but too few people live post conferences so far. I like the extra flexibility in the number of characters.
