Couldn't agree more with this piece by Jeremy Appel.

"If you’re constantly attacking your opponent’s character but offering policies eerily similar to theirs, don’t expect to sway enough people to win an election. We’re electing politicians, not Saints."

Sifting Through the Wreckage of Alberta Election 2023

The NDP's strategy was an abject failure. Notley and her clique have to go.

@JEmphatically I appreciate Jeremy's frustration, but I feel like his (unspoken) wish that a more left-leaning campaign & platform would have activated a critical number of hidden NDP supporters is a gross misreading of this province. It would have only led to a bigger loss (and yes, the size of the loss matters not at all with a majority government) but a loss on principle, which does nothing but makes people feel good.

@JEmphatically Jeremy summed it up well.

It’s an identity crisis of sorts for the NDP now…

Are they just a rebranded PCAA?

Or are they offering Albertans a progressive alternative?

While they figure that out, my time and money is going to supporting the #Alberta #GreenParty going forward which is offering the progressive change that I identify with.
