jp kollhøjThe journey from Hamburg to Århus went smooth. Århus is a well known place for The Vogt, and seeing the town hall again was a joy. On one of the walls is a relief of the Danish astronomer Ole Rømer (1644-1710) by Olaf Stæhr-Nielsen. In 1676 Rømer made the first measurement of the speed of light. Rømer also invented the modern thermometer showing the temperature between two fixed points (water boiling/freezing).
