Veggies went in last night in between flipping things on the grill for dinner.
Unfortunately I got overwhelmed and lost focus at the store and didn’t realize I picked up a mis-shelved plant. Was supposed to be Japanese cucumber (stays small) but is regular cucumber which will vine and get way too big I think.
I had a semi-traumatic experience growing zucchini several years back that got SO big and shaded everything else out and then got infested with squash bugs, UGH.
I will try to keep this one trellised and cut it back if I have to, even if it means fewer/no cukes.

We made ours last year, and I tempered my excitement a bit and put fewer veggies in this year
@madopal I have another bed I made last year that is going to have kale and bell peppers and already has thriving chives. This new one will have tomatoes, shishito peppers, maybe peas or something. Might add some basil.
Next year we'll probably add a third bed but I'm trying to expand slowly so I don't overwhelm myself (or my bank account)
