Whatever streaming service makes The Abyss (1989) available to watch in the US will get a signup.

Just sayin'.

I own #TheAbyss on DVD. I'm just too lazy to get up, go downstairs, turn on the TV and player, put in the disc, chase the cats off the chair, put down a blanket so my backside doesn't get covered in shed cat fuzz, and play a movie on my (not smart) TV.

@MrShoggoth It isn't available to watch in the US. I'd try VPNning it, but I don't know WHERE it's available to watch from.
@thelaughingmuse Ahhh a kindred spirit. I have a ton of DVD's but will still search the Roku for where they are streaming to avoid getting up and turning on the DVD and changing the source.

@barryzee ...which is silly, because I still have (and buy) DVDs because if I enjoy something enough, I want to keep it and guard against rotating-off / "back-in-the-vault". But there are undeniable upsides to digital versions.

Especially when you can use Amazon's credits for placing orders and not demanding super-fast Prime delivery. Hey, you want to give me "free" digital items b/c I'm good with waiting for my stuff? Sure, pile it on. (Got all of Babylon 5 that way...)
