I have a photography backpack that I'm planning to use for if/when I go hiking w/ my POTA kit (as opposed to just like... hanging out in the parking lot), but I'm thinking I might want to put together a smaller day pack for when I'm just taking it up on a hill in a non-POTA park around the corner from my apartment.

Problem: this little day pack doesn't have the kind of protection I'd like for my X6100. So, thoughts/suggestions?

@laren a little Nanuk case with foam inserts that you will be able to cut to fit the radio?

@laren I prefer to have a pouch to protect the radio and then I can throw it in my daily backpack or floating around my hiking pack when getting my SOTA on. Also handy because it has battery, key and such in it. Half tempted to learn to sew to make one that fits the way I want though

@vk3tcp Pitch suggestions are what I'm looking for. Got a case for my RigExpert stick in the form of a toothbrush case, and I'm hoping for similar suggestions for the radio.
