Ever heard the statement, “it’s too good to be true?”

Prepping for my youngest college graduation this upcoming weekend I’ve had the opportunity to chat with a few vendors. Today, one of the vendors said they’d never spoken with someone so kind and thoughtful with their words. They laughed and then said they are waiting for the ball to drop because it (our interaction) was too good to be true. 🤣🙃

I smiled and said, it is only as good as you need it to be in the moment you receive it. The truth is in this moment.

With loving Naketa energy I then said, now if your company jacks up my babies day there will be another true truth shown. 🙂🤷🏽‍♀️

We both laughed with acknowledgment that we understood each other fully and the amazing vendor followed with his statement of AMEN to that. 😊

I won’t go in to the additional 15 minutes of mutual admiration we had for each others gentle honesty that followed (and) it got me thinking…

How many times has each of us used that statement inside our heads during an interaction or even out loud?

What are we calling in when say those things? Are we really waiting for the ball to drop or creating a space within ourselves that smacks the ball down to prove our innermost (often subconscious) thoughts right?

Self-fulfilling prophecies are real.

If we aren’t careful, we can create the very thing we say we don’t want but dred.

What if we see or experience something awesome and get really mindful of our triggers to sabbatoge?

What if we take our previous lessons and apply them vs using them to barricade ourselves from beautifully often new experiences?

Just me and my ol’ thoughts.
Enjoy your Tuesday!
