With the latest #TwitterExodus, I’m seeing some new folks say it’s been hard to find other #resisters here on Mastodon. Let’s help them out.

Whether you’re already established or are new, drop a comment to say hi (and maybe why you resist if it’s not already in your bio), and then we can all follow back. Then boost so more folks can get connected! #TwitterMigration

@dhstokyo hi, trying to learn how this app works. I will probably be leaving Twitter for obvious reasons. I need followers and need to follow. How do i grow? I feel aimless, right now🙃
@KarGar727 @dhstokyo There are a few tips that helped me get started. Go to a post you like and boost, boost, boost. Then follow everyone on that post who’ve boosted it or liked it. The more you follow the sooner your timeline fills up. Remember, there are no algorithms here, you are the curator of your timeline. Like different things, find hashtags you like, follow those people who post and make sure you use hashtags in your own posts!

@KarGar727 @dhstokyo Oh, and follow, follow, follow. This isn’t the #BirdSite. You don’t get dinged for following or having an “unbalanced” follow versus follower list. You can always mute notifications of certain people if you need to. The little bell next in a person’s profile let’s you know when they’ve published something new.

Better use of the #Fediverse

As @Porpentina2017 writes below, to get a meaningful feed you need to #FollowFollowFollow and #ABB--#AlwaysBeBoosting.

However, as there mostly is no #FulltextSearch, #Hashtags are very important.
Other people can then use them to #mute only posts with certain content instead of you as a person, or by even #unfollowing you.;
or they can use it to be updated about a #hashtag in general.

Other than that, here's Tina's post...

[If you do not want to miss out on a certain handle's posts, including bots.]"

Other than that, here are some...

Thanks for boosting, @indigo8s.

You already have an interesting bio. Maybe an #introduction and pinned posts would help you gain more followers, if you wanted that.

Have a nice day!
