@seedy @BorrisInABox It was cool back in the day, but now you can get Alexa to sing and she does a good job. She can also beat box.

@hallen @BorrisInABox From a pre-defined list of songs, though. DECTalk can sing any song you want, and you pretty much have full control over everything.

@seedy @BorrisInABox If you know how to make it sing then yes, but if you’re like me and haven’t the slightest idea let alone a dectalk, it amounts to the same thing. You’re at the mercy of what others have done. The one difference is that Alexa can’t do skits, but I hav seen someone use routines to make her say some interesting things.

@seedy @JonathanMosen I remember loads of those skits and comedies done with dectalk, so wish I still had these! There was also the main programme which you made dectalk do these stupid things. First called Dectalk demo maker, then dectalk scripter, thanks to the great @daygar for making this.
