As a child, a major quality I considered in developing friendship was whether or not they had a pool.

As an adult, if I find out someone has a pool, I slightly question their good judgment.

@klonick I think this validates your thinking: During the window when my kids were the right age to love the pool, it was great. After that, I wanted to fill it in with dirt and rocks.

@klonick We neither have nor want one, but we live in Houston and are therefore careful to ensure pool-owners are adequately represented in our social group.
