Back in London, I used to primarily work for ~8 years - as much as possible - from a bench in #HighgateWood (often even in winter). Being outdoors and largely offline was a _huge_ productivity booster. A few days ago I've (finally!) found another worthy (and much more comfortable) successor to be added to my growing list of choice locations in der neuen Heimat...

#OutdoorComputing

@toxi Very cool, although for some reason that seems pretty wild to me. In Minnesota I could probably do that at most 100 days in a year. Otherwise it would be too cold, too hot, too windy, stormy, etc.
@Metamere Re: pretty wild/wilderness - I tried that quite a few times during my years in #Oregon too, but it just wasn't ever the same. Lots of reasons, but generally: It always involved driving, so had to be combined with other things, then either too distracted by the amazing landscape, wilderness and/or various people coming up and asking what I'm doing... Still, many fond memories, esp. sometimes staying at #CannonBeach for the weekends and doing evening coding sessions at #Ecola state park with a view like this (and almost no people around)! Highly recommended!
