I'm posting less on Twitter for a while because I'm still trying to figure some things out.
I have a bunch of graphical posts there with the #WB100 tag because, well, I'm still a fan of what the studio has created and the iconic and groundbreaking library it controls, including the Lorimar, Hanna-Barbera, Wolper, RKO, New Line, Castle Rock, and MGM libraries (at least the MGM side of MGM). They're currently queued up.
I just needed a bit of a break from constantly reacting for a while.
I needed to stop feeling... I just needed to stop feeling.
Anger. Frustration. Sadness. Fearful. Numb.
This world will wear you down. You see people who you're friends with getting demonized for living their best lives and feeling powerless when you see them hurting, especially when those who are doing them harm seem like they're constantly winning. You see people who look like you constantly being attacked by hateful people and the media bombards you with a snuff film EVERY SINGLE DAY.
And the one place you want to talk about things you like, the one place you feel like you can truly be your best vocal and creative self, that place is owned by a despotic bigot who gleefully celebrates, amplifies, and venerates the same hateful, bigoted voices responsible for these vile acts.
Why would I want to be a part of that?
And the sad thing is there's no real alternative to that platform. Not even this place.
So, I just feel I need to take a break from all of that for a while.

The safety moderation features are breaking over at the bird site. Search autocomplete was suggesting the worst possible things to put after "child," "dog," and "cat."
Since that's the type of mission critical safety feature that absolutely should not be breaking, I deactivated both my public and private accounts. I am posting here and only on here for the time being.

I haven't been completely broken (today was the first day I did more actual posting in over a week), but I'm slowly weening myself away from that. Can't use Bluesky since I don't have a cell phone, so, I'll more than likely stick to this place and Post for social media stuff in the coming months
These last few months hurt my heart and soul, and I'm just sick of seeing the bad guys keep getting wins.
