Velocipede Rider

Ok, in the last few days 2 different people (with no connection to each other) have mentioned seeing another/different penny farthing rider in #Oslo.

One of them specifically mentioned a time and location where I was not present and the colour of the penny was different than mine (white).

Anyone else seen this person?

Also is there allowed to be two of us? I feel like I should start carrying a lance with me at all times when out on my penny and if I spot this fellow I shall joust him to the ground! 🏇

In all seriousness I would like to meet this other person. I think it is great that there might be more of us. I actually met people like @erlendloe and @unimyra because of confusion about who "the Oslo unicyclist" was (nobody expected more than one!)

I would love to see a Veltepetter revival in Oslo, alongside with the vast amounts of unicyclists we have gathered here.

And today another Penny Farthing rider in #Oslo actually contacted me via a DM on Mastodon!! 🤯

I also discovered there is a "Team Norway" at the yearly Penny Farthing event in Sweden, made up for 3 people, all from Oslo.

@ruari Oslo should ideally be big enough for two riders? Otherwise take away their small wheel so they’ll have to unicycle the penny farthing.

@lachralle It is possible to do a front wheel "wheelie" on a penny farthing and then you are unicycling.

Many have suggested and speculated that this is the origin or unicycles.
