@shrinkthinks Martha, I’m reading Tastes Like War by Grace M. Cho as part of the #BigLibraryRead and wonder if you’ve read it. Thinking of my greatgrandmother off the boat from Ireland as part of a massive migration—-never the isolation that Grace’s mother lived after arrival from Korea.
@econoprof I haven’t!
@shrinkthinks really good…deals with some similar issues as Michelle Zauner’s Crying in H Mart, but it’s written by a grieving sociologist. Both are terrific books.
@shrinkthinks And this one talks about post-war adoptions from Korea, among many other subjects.
@shrinkthinks and she used dreamwork in her dissertation and writes vividly about dreams in this book. Intriguing insights and horrifying events revealed.
