At least 8 people were slaughtered after a mass shooting in Allen Texas yesterday

What’s their congressman do?

He gets butthurt that people don’t think thoughts and prayers are the answer

Saying people who don't believe in the power of prayer following a mass shooting aren't believers of an almighty god

This is someone who is in charge of the legislation to make these shootings slow or stop and his answer is that it’s out of his hands

Disgusting. But what do you say George Carlin?

@flexghost Sen. Rev. Warnock of Georgia said, "I hasten to say that thoughts and prayers are not enough. It is a contradiction to say that you're thinking and praying and then do nothing; it is a mockery of prayer; it is to trivialize faith. We not only pray with our lips, we pray with our legs."

His speech on the Senate floor follows an earlier mass shooting in midtown Atlanta, *just three days before* the shooting outside Dallas.

@SharonGibson3 the fact that it was even close with some demon like Herschel Walker tells you everything about America
@soc_i_ety @SharonGibson3 @flexghost Indeed legislators need to act. But what about *us*? Every disaster should have a #boycott list pinned to it. For every shooting, ppl should boycott #FedEx for a week (I would normally say 1 month, but there are enough shootings that 1 week would suffice). #FedEx gives #NRA discounts, finances #ALEC, finances #RAGA, ships #sharkFins, hunting trophies, & slave dolphins. #BoycottFedEx.
@SharonGibson3 @flexghost Martin Luther supposedly said that one should pray as if working were useless and work as if prayer were useless, but dunno, maybe depending on what sect you're in he's the devil or something.
