Mother Suspiria 
Didn't know what to watch, so... opted to watch this. Hasn't seen it since the theater- it wound up being the perfect choice.

Somehow (along with The Witch) I found the posters too off-putting in theaters and so I skipped it! I can barely believe I did that now.

@stina_marie yeah, that's ... a lot of blood. Wow. I don't know that it was as scary as I hoped, but the deadite makeup does creep me out more than a bit.
@jasonp The Deadite makeup in ALL of them genuinely creeps me out. There's something about that makeup plus the demented possessed-puppet-jerkiness of those demons that pushes all my buttons.
Andrzej@stina_marie @horror watched this for the first time last year and loved it. I love how well the fake ending works --- it's convincing because you've already had a satisfying movie by that point, but the best is yet to come!
@AJSWritesthings @horror Yep, it's great. Makes it even more enjoyable because the gore comes right back and doesn't let up.
Eumenes@stina_marie @horror I thought this film was incredibly underrated. I was in a movie Facebook group that immediately slammed me for liking this movie when it came out. Ironically I was probably the only one in that group that saw the original in the theater. Did you see Rise yet?
@Eumenes @horror No, I don't go to movie theaters anymore so I have to wait for it to come to HBO or Redbox or whatever the hell platform it will eventually be on. Evil Dead is (so far) the one horror franchise that has never had a bad movie imo. But I have to wait to see Rise before I can confirm that, lol.
