The #DebtCeiling is getting crazy. The #GOP doesn't want the US to pay their bills when they come due. They want spending cuts. WTF! Isn't that what happens during the budget debate; not months after!!!
I would love to use my credit card to buy stuff and then when I get the bill just say I don't think I'll pay you.
These radical #Republicans are doing their best to ruin this country.

@Desertpaws If there is an economic catastrophe many among the rich will be ready and willing to exploit the turmoil for extra profits while regular folk suffer.

I have observed this from every major catastrophe from #nine11 to the #2008BankingCrisis to the #COVID19pandemic .

Probably the best way to avoid a default is if the rich felt they would be much worse off if we defaulted.
