When badly done it is, I admit, tedious.

@kurt I worked Panto season from 2003 to 2012, when I had my kid and finally decided I wanted my Christmases back. I don't like or dislike it, but I do respect it.
Panto as a genre is fascinating. It has a myriad of rules and etiquette, which if you work in a proper panto house you'll know. And if a Panto breaks the rules YOU'LL KNOW. Because the panto will be bad.
Think it was a couple of years ago Mark Ravenhill did an epic Twitter thread on the rules.
