The JURI committee just voted on significant improvements to the Commission’s #CS3D proposal. The compromises agreed today brings the proposal to a much better alignment with the #UNGPs and the OECD standards. 🧵

The parliament’s position, to be adopted by the plenary at the end of May, will support enlarging the scope of the directive to include all large companies (250 employees + 40 € million turnover). SMEs can apply the directive voluntarily with support measures in place.

The compromises reflect several @GreensEFA priorities. In particular, strengthened climate provisions, robust stakeholder engagement, improved access to justice elements, and heightened due diligence in conflict areas.
