“Look,” shouted Yui, “Stonehenge!”

Wendy looked out and muttered, “ish.”

“Can we go, Mother?” Ritsu asked who understood the “game” Pan was playing.

“Why yes. If Pan says the coast is clear.”

“It should be safe,” Pan said.

Ritzu and Yui climbed onto the pile of stone. “Come on, Azusa-chan,” they called, and Azusa joined them, laughing on the pile of stones.

Mother Mugi

That broke the ice, and everyone found interesting things to do and play around the new house.

Pan was delighted to have playmates again. She had been lonely since the “Lost Boys” left.

When the sun was high in the sky, Mugi called out, “Lunch.”

They hurried into the house to enjoy a feast of buns.

“I knew you would be a top-notch mother,” Pan explained, as he hungrily examined some melon pan.

Only Tinkerbell looked sour. Everyone else had radiant smiles and full mouths.

After snacks, Wendy put the girls to bed for a nap. Ritzu felt lucky; She got to sleep on a pillow with Pan’s face on it

Sleep didn’t come easily for her. All the excitement of a new home & the adventures to be had

Tink wasn’t sleeping any better. Jealousy makes a poor bed companion. Then she had a plan. Seeing Ritzu still awake, Tink whispered it in her ear

“Why are wasting time? There're so many things to do. Hurry on out. I’ll tell the others where you went when they wake up”

She thought, “If something bad happens to you, they will all go home”

Ritzu's Adventure Begins

Ritzu left quietly, so as to not wake the other girls. Once outside, she ran the way she had come, looking for the tiger forest.

She was soon tired and rested amid the giant flowers of Neverland. Such wonderful flowers, she thought.

Return to Tiger Forest

Even though she wasn’t flying, Ritsu had no trouble finding the forest where Pan had said tigers lurked. The way looked quite different from the ground than the air, but the path was smooth and clear giving Ritsu no problems.

The blue “trees” swayed in the cool breeze and Ritzu looked around, but unfortunately (or fortunately) she located no tigers.

The Canyon

Disappointed at finding no tigers, Ritsu wandered on. It was too early to go back. The others would be just waking up and Tink had promised to tell them where she had gone.

The next place Ritsu found was a canyon with a broad road leading through it. It was exciting to think about what might be on the other side.

Stone Ant

Beyond the canyon was a wide plain with herds of strange creatures.

This more than made up for not finding tigers, thought Ritsu.

Then wonders, upon wonders, one creature came up to Ritsu. It wasn’t one of the tiny ponies with bright-colored hair, but was just as wonderful.

It nuzzled Ritsu and Ritsu took out an apple she brought for her adventure and offered it to the “Stone Ant,” as she called it.

Then, to her amazement, it bent down and offered her its back.

Ritsu of course, climbed on for the ride.

Edge of Neverland

Rizsu rode the “stone ant” all the way across the plain and past huge blooming forests. The ant then stopped and bent down so Ritsu could dismount.

Ahead of Ritzu was a small mountain of debris she climbed and from the top, she could see she had reached the end of the land and the beginning of a sea of trash. The mountain being was the first of these.

Then came the horrible realization she didn’t know how to get back.

What she didn’t realize was someone was watching.

Unexpected Help

Ritsu wandered back the way she thought she had come, but nothing looked familiar.

It was all she could do not to cry.

Then a voice spoke from the shadows. “Lost?”

A gray rabbit chewing a piece of straw stepped out.

“Follow me.” the rabbit said.

After a little while, it said, “I’m Wild Geese. Everything you heard about me is true.”

Ritsu replied, “I haven’t heard much.”

Wild Geese didn’t reply for several minutes and then instead of explaining said, “You got a mother? That blonde woman?”

“Yes, I guess she is our new mother.”

“Thanks, that’s all I wanted to know.”

Wild Geese stop and pointed, “Go down the hill till you reach the tentacles, turn left. It’s not far past the signpost.” Then she silently disappeared into the grass.

Meantime back at Pan’s house, the girls woke up. Mio and Azusa ran outside to see the sights.

Yui lay in bed, saying, “Just a little more sleep.”

But Wendy, as “Mother,” had counted the children and instantly noticed Ritsu was missing.

She consulted with Pan, who wasn’t “too” worried. But they settled on a plan to split up into small groups and search.

Tink listened in but said nothing, a wicked gleam in her eye.

Looking from the Sakura

Wendy looked at Pan, “There is a good view from the Sakura trees and she might have gone there. It is so pretty. The trees at home lose their petal so quickly. Mommy Chiya says that is part of their beauty. Ma Syaro agreed.”

Pan offered her hand, “I think it is nice they are always in bloom and we can see them whenever we want.”

And with those words, the two took to the air and were soon perched in the Sakura trees. But as hard as they looked, they did not see Ritsu.

Mio and Azusa continued searching, and when they reached the signpost, climbed it. From there, they could see Ritsu approaching from the direction of the tentacles.

Soon the entire crew was back together, everyone simultaneously asking Ritsu questions. Eventually, Wendy called for silence and asked Ritsu where she had been.

“Didn’t Tinkerbell tell you?” She responded.

Tink grit her teeth as Pan glared at her.

Finally, Pan spoke. “I never want to see you again, Tink. How could you!”

And Tink flew off in disgrace.

Back at the Darlings

It had been a quiet day at the Darlings household. The children were asleep and Mommy chiya and Mother Syaro enjoyed a rare moment of peace. They loved their children, but they were active, especially Yui.

And so splurge and had Chirashi.

After an enjoyable dinner, they went upstairs to kiss the children good night.
